Starting out in 1989 as a salesperson for a leading Franchised Real Estate firm, I had the good fortune of being trained by an honest, knowledgeable hard-working broker. He instilled in all his salespeople the value of working hard and getting listings. He always reminded us that a home is the largest possession a person will likely own. A homeowner, therefore, expects and deserves to have their agent treat it as their own. A seller's agent, among other things, is a fiduciary agent to their client. We are there to protect their interest. In addition, a seller's agent is there to achieve the highest possible price, in the least amount of time, with the best terms and conditions for their client while treating all parties honestly and fairly.
I have always been a "seller's agent"
After winning several awards for sales volume and number of listings sold, I earned my Broker's license. While my broker was great, he did not belong to the MLS. I felt I wanted that and more for both myself and my clients. So, I hung my license with several big and small companies as sales manager, office manager and trainer and while acheiving huge success there was something missing. I therefore decided to start my own company and do it like Sinatra "My Way"...I have since been listing, managing and selling REO/Foreclosed property for over 30 years. It hasn't always been easy, but with hard work come rewards. So, whether it's a bungalow or a mansion, a foreclosed house or a family home, I treat it the same-"as my own". (Thanks H. N.)
